[SOLVED] If I brought a ps4 SSD will it format itself when I install it?

I bought a SSD for my ps4 and I had to download a reinstallation file to get out of safe mode and then it left me play everything normally. Was the reinstallation file the “formatting” of the SSD or is it still not formatted?
