Well since you are ordering the parts and assembling them yourself there is always the risk of problems and errors, both by you and the computer parts themselves. I personally think that if you have even considered building a PC and you are willing to put a little effort into learning the small amount of information it takes to assemble a PC, then go for it. It's more cost effective, allows for more customization, and just gives you a good feeling when your computer posts for the first time after a couple hours of putting parts together.
