If I buy a 4K monitor does that affect my CPU?

Am I correct in thinking that buying a 4k monitor will have no affect on my CPU? Its just that I have a good graphics card capable for low end 4k gaming (EVGA GTX 970 FTW) but my CPU isn't great.

Also can anyone recommend a good 4k gaming monitor for £500 or under?

I'm currently thinking about this monitor because it seems really good for its price

Not really true there. Higher FPS does cause more CPU stress, but if the GPU stress comes from a high resolution, it can lower the CPU usage due to lower FPS. What the CPU does for the GPU isn't affected by the resolution.
I know its not amazing and yea its gonna bottleneck but I think I will still be able to run low end 4k stuff like League Of Legends, World Of Warcraft and Smite. However if I was to upgrade my CPU what AMD CPU would I get thats not gonna melt in my PC? lol

Oh and BTW screw getting a 2k monitor because if I get 4k I can just switch it to 4k when playing low end games and switch it to 2k when playing high end stuff
