if i change my hard disk can i reinstall my windows 7 using the same activation key.

YES you can , and if i didn't activate, microsoft will help you with that, as long as you have a legit key!

Reinstalling on new drive activatation should go through on line without any problems as long as there are no other major components added or changed.
