I was bored and looking on Newegg. I do plan on building a computer and this build is only $300 more then my other build I was looking at but this comes with everything for an entire new system. Tell me what you think of it critiques etc. As for plans of when I'm getting it eh whenever I feel like it I guess could be this month could be January. Don't tell me to wait for this and that or not to bother until Its closer to purchasing time. I just want build opinions.

System Usage from Most to Least Important: (Gaming, Programming, Compiling, running virtual Machine with Windows server)

Good build. It will work great but you said you may want to sli in the future. 750 watts won't be enough to sli 580s. Also have you looking into a 570? They are much cheaper and a 580 only has 10% more in performance for a lot more money. Also with how much money you are throwing at a motherboard you can probably buy a motherboard that comes with a USB 3.0 bracket. Don't know if you would want that but good build!!! I wish I would have had that kind of budget....

With a Z68 chipset

Th 2500k runs quite cool . You can overclock to insane levels using a $28 Hyper 212 cooler

The BIOSes are often very restrictive . Maybe you can OC , maybe you cant .

They will also never have features like auto overclocking , or power saving features like ASUS epu .
Intel build very conservative motherboards .

That seems to negate the point of building your own , and doing a bit of tuning .

Nothing wrong with the quality though

Gigabyte do a huge range of good quality motherboards with great features covering lots of price ranges. Id recommend you start looking there

This ASRock GEN3 board is being recommend alot recently aswell:

Its a great price and offers PCI 3.0 support. It will also support SLI and Crossfire, which for $125 is really good.
Note: The ASRock Board is very new and there currently seem to be some issues with Overclocking and the BIOS - however this is expected to be patched fairly quickly.

I read the newegg feedback on this board and it doesnt look like they're as tightly screwed down as they used to be . I suppose selling K sku chips that they officially sanction overclocking on has forced them to be more flexible .

But I'd still prefer Asus or Gigabyte

I like gigabyte I have a GB board atm now also why do I need a z68 chip? im already getting a dedicated GPU. From looking at specs the 580 with the system shouldn't draw more then 500 watts at full power. It may be close if I get a second in SLI, then again not sure if the board has 2x 16 channel pci-e slots to even utilize them properly will need to look into that some more.

Also with that board, it has a reset bios and power button, show me a decently priced board with that on it and I might consider it.
