[SOLVED] If I disable Cortana

in task manager from automatically starting up when PC starts, will it affect my search results?

no. cortana and search are separate processes. they only show up as one in task manager to make you not want to disable it.

you do not lose local seacrhing with it gone, but i you do lose the internet search it adds. but really who needs that when i got this thing called a browser that searches the internet rather well already....

Cortana is more like a virtual secretary than the actual search feature. It does dabble in search functionality, but that's not its primary purpose.

Think of it more like Siri, Alexa, or "Hey Google"
