I have an MSI motherboard so all the things I have done with BIOS are in MSI's pretty version. Does that mean I do not have the WIn10 dos looking BIOS?

I am trying to do something that wants me to get to that Windows BIOS.

Solution
There is no Windows BIOS. In fact if you have a modern CPU you don't have a BIOS anymore its called the UEFI. What Windows does is it takes over handling the boot process instead of the UEFI handling it.

To reboot into the "Windows" BIO would be to boot into the MSI UEFI system. Windows has its own preload that you can access before loading the OS but that's just a prettier version of the repair screen.

I see..

I am just trying to disable the god forsaken secondary functions on my F1-9 keys so I don't have to press "fn" to use the F keys for shortcuts. Everything I can find explaining a way to do this requires getting into that old school looking BIOS and I cannot seem to find an equivalent option in my MSI UEFI.

I have a desktop I built with an MSI mobo and an active copy of Win10 I installed from a usb, If I press delete at POST I get the MSI very "gamer" BIOS.

The keyboard is an "HP premium Lifstyle" keyboard I bought from their part store. I don't think they intended it to be used with anything but their own HP ENVY desktop.
I hate to switch it as it is a very nice sleek mac style black aluminum keyboard and I game with a controller. I just need those F keys for FLStudio shortcuts.

That is a non standard keyboard and I am surprised there are function keys at all working since the MSI UEFI wont have them like the HP UEFI/BIOS would.

that said it could be a software level Fn key support. Check your installed programs for anything from HP. Might be something that can be removed.

Otherwise you might have to get a different keyboard.
