If i have usb pen drive 2.0 and i have laptop with usb 3.0 then...the copy and operational speed will be 2.0 or it is increases ...? my other question is i see the usb 3.0 convertor in the market if i plug my usb 2.0 pen drive into that convertor and used to my laptop which have usb 3.0 ..then does it increase it speed of copy or operations?

The speed of the transfer to the USB drive will be at the lowest speed of the interface, so USB 2.

As far as I know , there cannot be an upgrade from USB 2.0 to USB 3.0 at least not with such simple methods .
From my point of view , these convertors serve a purpose of compatibility when some device demant USB 3 .But even in that case it does not operate as USB 3.0 only looks like it .

If you have a USB 2.0 drive plugged in a USB 3.0 slot , then it will act as a USB 2.0 drive because of the backwards compatibility . The same if a USB 3.0 drive in a USB 2.0 slot ( in the second case , you maybe actually find that USB 3 devices perform better than USB 2.0 devices in a USB 2 port )
