If I install a new HDD and use a system image to restore it, can I install a SSD or will it be conflicting with Windows.

As the title says. If I do restore the old data on the new hard drive will it conflict in anyway if I install a SSD?

Not any more than if you install ordinary HDD but why would you want system on a HDD if you have SSD ?

I'm a little bit unsure of what your saying / current PC storage status - are you planning on adding an SSD anytime soon?

For obvious reasons, it's always recommended to put your OS onto an SSD (rather than an HDD) if you have one included in your storage options. If you are going to add an SSD in the future then there's also no issue doing this via a current image of your old HDD OS. Of course you'd then need to do some housekeeping to remove the old OS.

Let me explain my current situation. So my current hard drive is dying so I've created a system image and planned to restore it onto a new drive. Now if I install an SSD and make it the boot drive and then install the new HDD will there be a conflict because of Windows being on both drives.

Ah that. No, there shouldn't be any conflict if you choose SSD to BOOT from, Old one will be free to delete OS of it and use any way you want.
