I have a 2 gig gtx 950.
right now i got no reason to overclock im cpu bottlenecked.
I'm building a ryzen 5 computer and i'm going to use the 950 until I can afford to upgrade to vega. When I put it in the ryzen 1600 computer and overclock it how big of an overclock should I go for. It's dual fan. I don't want to damage it.
After I get my vega i'm ripping it out and trading it with my friend for his 660 which i'll sell. But my friend doesn't like overclocking so do I need to take off the overclock before I give it to him? or will it revert to factory settings when put into a different computer?

i have an evga p2 750w
Should I aim for the 1070 or 1080 vega equivilant for my overclocked r5 1600?

Solution
The GPU does not hold the overclock its the program that you use that hold the settings. The only way to hold an OC on a card is to extract the bios, change the settings from stock clocks to new OC and then reflash the new bios back onto the card.

Your missing the point. You don't have to buy the OC card. You can mod the bios to OC!!!! Read my post.
