laptop, will games run correctly on it? I don't think most games, even modern ones, have a 16:10 option. I know a lot have support for 21:9 but not 16:10. What display aspect ratio should I choose then? 16:9? Or something else? What will happen to my games? Will they be unplayable?

Most modern games should support 16:10 - I can't find a list of them though

games should work, they might just have black borders if they don't support the aspect ratio.

most here seem to prefer 16:10 - link
I have a 16:10 legion 7. Yes, games have to support the native resolution or you either get black bars or the image might be stretched to fill the space. Some will give you the option, some might not. It will marginally affect the FPS because it's still a higher resolution, but it's not really much, at least I haven't seen much of a drop - mine is the 3080 model

What do I choose as resolution though? If game is not recent, and doesn't have my resolution, do I go for 1080p?
