If i throw my phone to the sea what will happen?

Hello everyone i have a question. If i throw my phone to the sea (where you go every summer) what will happen? My phone's model is Samsung Galaxy A5 2017. My phone is waterproof so i was thinking throwing my phone too a bowl of water works fine but if i throw it in the sea will my phone survive because of the salt. Will the salt affect my phone?

I think that phone is IP68 certified and that is fresh water only. So avoid salt water.

The sea is a very corrosive environment. Unless rated, avoid submersion of the unit.
