My computer wants to update some drivers, but i am worried if i do that my disk drive computer game will stop running which is the sims 2. Hope someone can help?

Drivers are essential firmware codes required to keep the hardware updated and running. Ideally, they should not affect your game files. These are stored at completely different locations on your disc drive. However, sometimes they may affect your game files. But that is an exception and you can roll back to the earlier driver in such scenario.

Peachy is a friend of mine. The drivers AVG suggests updating are for the DVD optical drive and the WiFi. I doubt updating them would affect the Sims 2 game.

Her computer slows down sometimes after a couple of hours, and the first thing she thought of were the drivers. I think it's clear now that it isn't them. I think maybe it's bloatware or malware.
