If I wanted a cheap gaming moniter

It has 8-bit color, dvi ports, and no built in speakers.

It has a TN panel; "8-bit" is doubtful. Othewise, it's OK... like so many other cheap LCDs.

If you want it for gaming, you wouldn't want to use the monitor's speakers anyway... any $20 set of 2-ways will be a big step up.
