If intel core i5-8600k bottlenecks the 1060 3gb, how much GPU power goes to waste?

I am kind of a recruit or a beginner regarding PC building.

So I wanted to upgrade my gtx 960 and i5-6400 to i5-8600k and a 1060 3gb/6gb.

But from what ive seen on the forums this CPU bottlenecks the GPU.

My question is how much of the GPU power gets bottlenecked by the CPU and is it worth buying or considering a different CPU?

Do you think 8gb of ram will bottleneck? For an example on the games Rust or Pubg?

Could you post some sources for that information? Because the 8600k will not bottleneck a 1060 3/6GB. In fact, those two are an excellent pairing for the price to performance ratio.

The 1060 is meant for max 1080p to light-medium 1440p gameplay. The 8600k is considered the perfect gaming-only chip. The extra threads on the i7’s help for multi-tasking such as gaming and streaming or photo/video editing.

In conclusion, there is no bottleneck here. If the i7 pushes more frames then it’s by a negligible margin.
