If my SSD crashes will I be able to transfer Windows 8.1 to my HDD

I am putting my OS on to my SSD but am worried about loosing the £70 system if the SSD breaks (cause they don't last forever)

A current model SSD will last longer than a traditional HDD.

And just like any other drive, if it actually crashes and is unreadable....well, it's unreadable.
This is why we have backups.

Keep a copy on DVD of the OS installation. Reinstall if necessary. But it almost certainly won't be necessary.

You can always re-install windows to an new ssd or hdd. What you need is a DVD or USB stick with the install files and -most important- the Product Key!
