I just wanted to test my gaming laptop which has an i7-7700HQ with a Samsung 960 EVO installed in the M.2 slot.
I am running Ubuntu 18.04 on the laptop...
There is a utility under the Disk app which lets you benchmark the drive: I choose like the following:
Transfer rate:
Number of Samples: 100
Sample Size: 100MB
Access Time:
Number of Samples: 1000
I reach 3500 MB/s+ speeds .... does this mean my laptop supports 4GB/s ? isn't 4GB/s the maximum for PCIe NVMe SSDs for M.2 drives ?
Many Thanks
