I have compiled what I will call the "Summer" edition of the IF Promotional
CD and it is online at the archive under starters/ifcd-windows.zip (which
contains an ISO image). It's an 18mb download that unzips to 30mb. I would
recommend waiting for it to get moved to the mirrors this evening.

If anyone wishes to take this image and create a hybrid for Mac/Linux, feel
free. We can even rename it at that point to something more generic. This
version requires windows and IE 5.5 or greater. I _think_ Mozilla will work
too.

The intent of this CD is for you to download it, burn it, and _hand_ it to
friends, coworkers, or people that you think may enjoy learning about IF. It
is _not_ intended to be distributed in any other fashion.

Thanks and enjoy!

The archive blurb is:

On or about 8/8/2004 3:58 PM, David A. Cornelson did proclaim:

This link seems relevant, for anyone wanting to proselytize:

In case it ever stops working, the above points to this:

I downloaded the file from ifarchive.org, and burned it to disk. When I
try to start the disk I get the message "Malicious Script Detected" from
Norton AntiVirus about the file "runme.hta".

Has anyone else gotten this sort of warning? It's probably nothing, but
I've never gotten any messages like this from Norton AV before, and I just
want to make sure.

Ah well, can't be helped....it's _not_ a malicious script, but Norton has
been set to not like .hta files. I have had no problems with it and ran it
on other machines that have Norton so...I don't know...if you can make it
run, it should be fine.
