If the internal storage interface is SATA3, Does it mean the eSATAp port is 6Gbps ?

My laptops internal storage interface is SATA3, Can I reach SATA3 speeds through my eSATAp port with an external SSD ?

Does the cable even matter ? would any eSATAp to SATA 22-Pin Cable provide the 6Gbps speeds ?

Beware, if your eSata port is not a powered port this will NOT work.

BUT if that eSATA port is 6Gbps with the right eSATA to SATA Adapter yes you will.

That's basically what i am asking..the internal interface is SATA3(6Gbps) ....this means the eSATAp is also 6 Gbps i guess ?

and you're saying the cable doesn't matter....A cable that support 3 Gbps can also support 6Gbps...right ?

Yes that wouldn't matter. If it is a powered port then that cable will work. what is the exact model of laptop?
