if the wire of speaker is cutted then the speaker works or not

I bought speakers(Creative) for my PC two years back and now they are not working there is a small cut to the wire . can any changes can be made to it or should I replace it with a new

"Not working" can mean a lot of things.Same with "cut wire".
Post a picture of the problem.

Speaker wire is 2 conductor.
If a wire has been cut then you can strip back the insulation twist the copper wire together and put some electrical tape to keep the plus and minus conductors from touching each other.
