i'm buying a 1080Ti and and i dont exactly know how to delete the drivers for the gpu anyway if i wanted to reinstall them but i was just wondering if they have the same drivers so i wouldnt need to reinstall, instead i could just swap them?

Solution
DDU - Display Driver Uninstaller
the installer package is the same but which parts of which driver are installed depend on the chip and the 1080 has hardware the 1060 does not.
I am sure there has been a driver update recently so upgrading the drivers should be no issue on the suggested to do list anyhow.
with DDU its a breeze

You will need to install the drivers again.

While both use the same drivers, the installation process customizes it to that card, so the new card needs to go through the installation process. And while it may not be completely necessary to remove the old drivers first, I'd recommend doing it.

No, windows should detect your new card and will handle it from there.
Surely you can remove the old drive manually tho.

Btw just keep an eye on your psu, might need to replace one if it doesnt have enough power. :)

That's the problem nowadays, it's like they dumb everything down and say let the computer do everything.....then we get all these people coming here saying their card isn't performing like it should.
