If you could run grahics demanding game could you run a CPU demanding software?

I was reading this article. The words gaming CPU made me ask.

If a computer, whether laptop or desktop, could run a game depending on GPU power, then is it able to run a CPU intensive software? let's say modeling...

I'm asking this question because I think that if a game requires lots of GPU then it certainly requires lots of CPU as well even if not the same amount.

Generally speaking, yes. Some games can work the CPU at near 100% if the gfx card is adequate. And games can be some of the most CPU/GPU demanding software.

some games use more cpu than gpu like bf4 online uses more cpu than gpu i ran this benchmark and my fx 6120 was giving 30fps while my GPU was giving only 15-20fps
