.... Does it make any difference to the following season's allocation? I
miscalculated transfer dates and didn't get to spend £275k I was saving for
a player to be transferred. Has that money gone to waste now?

You just don't get as much from the new budget!

When I was playing with Chelsea, and my end of season budget was on
£34m, my new season budget was £34m. Best is to blow it before the
season's over!

But more often than not if you spend 30m they'll say "After your
extravagant spending last season, The board have decided to limit this
years budget to 5m"

Unless SI have completely rewritten the code concerning finances in FM, then yes, the money will
be gone. It does not top it up in the new season's allocation nor bank balance. It disappears.

Only £34 Million? I hate how unrealistic FM is, you need at least £100
Million a season for Chelsea..

Have they laundered it somehow? Is it sitting in the Cayman Islands?

It could be SI's oblique indictment of a certain Jesus Gil. Perhaps they have stock shares in
Atletico. Or perhaps, it is just an easy way out of coding for finances. I cannot decide.
