I'd be able to pay for next year's tuition!!!!

For a computer, I probably wouldn't be able to spend it all. 24" monitor, Phenom II X4 940, a good cooler, 8Gb of DDR 1066 and a pair of HD 4870's. I don't think that comes to $2500.

i'd go i7 as well. but i would wait a few months (3-5) for the new hd 5000's from ati or the GTX300's if you like Nvidia, then i'd build it.
