If you had my budget what would you chose

At least i have the money. I have 1300$ for a new pc

I will be using for games and home use mostly maybe a bit of OC .


till know i came up with a p5w deluxe motherboard and e6600 cpu i have included a 2x1gb twinx corsair 667mhz ram with an 74gb 10k WD and a x1950 pro ati 256 ddr3 vga. as a psu i have choosed OCZ Gamers 700w

am i good or you would recommend me smth else .

-Raptor is overkill, consider a Seagate Barracuda instead.
-700w PSU is overkill, you could go with the 600w and it will be plenty.
-P5W Deluxe is overkill if you're not overclocking
-Corsair isn't necessary, look at the cheaper G.Skill 667 or 800 stuff.
-Consider a 6400 CPU instead.

Are you planning on going to Vista in the near future? DX10 games?

What resolution is your monitor?


With the money you save on all that, you can buy an 8800GTS or a 22" LCD instead

i would say skip the 74mb raptor. and go for a 200gb or more
hd.
keep your 700watt psu
if you want to oc the ddr2800mhz mem modules are better
for that, or thats what they say.

Yea, but 667s do provide decent headroom. Good for some overclocking.

im still with corsair xms in ddr for s939.

also i recently went from 2 gigs back to 1gig=sucks
and i cant do sli anymore=sucks kinda
and i got the sucky mouse too

but i do have two computers now.

well the reason why i choose those is because i will be using it for another 2-3 years and i think that it will be good till that times
