First off thank you all for being so helpful with everything I've ever came here to ask, in addition to helpful with everyone! You guys are great!
Down to business. So My current build is as follows
GA-H170-Gaming 3 (rev. 1.0) rev. 1.1 Motherboard
Intel i5-6400
Red Dragon Raedon RX570 8gb Overclocked
450w EVGA Powersupply
16gb DDR4 Ram
So lately i've been torn, I've considered just buying an entirely new MOBO what supports ryzen 5 or 7, but currently they are a little out of my budget range
also with the simple fact the RX570 is a little out of date, the GPU would need to be upgraded, the PSU would deff need to be atleast 500-600w
But heres my question, I saw that theres one CPU thats the best for this MOBO and it cost like 300 dollars. I think its this one here

Core i7-6700
A new MOBO and all the things mentioned above put me at 570$ish US, and that CPU is listed at 299$.
I cant figure out if its worth it to buy the better 6th/7th gen intel CPU or just swap it all out.
Is there a 6th/7th gen CPU thats better, but cheaper that im not seeing?
Sorry if this question is redundant or superfluous
Also, i think i need to move this to CPU's instead of motherboard section. IDK how to do that, so sorry
