iGPU CPU Explenation

Hi Guys! Can anyone explain to me why iGPU will do no harm to a CPU? I read some of the existing forum but there is no clear explanation why using an igpu will not harm your cpu.

Why does using the spare tyre in your car do it no harm.

Same logic.

It's still a spare tyre, it's not very good, the ones you buy separately are better.
