IHT 6000 Polk Audio

Hi Everyone,

I was looking at the Polk Audio IHT 6000 to setup with my new triple monitor set up. I have never really experienced sound bars so my question is will this still be effective if I place this speaker on my desk and im ear level with it but fairly close (about a foot) away from the speaker?

Of course, the monitor is always better close at ear level!
Either that or use headphones.
