IIS Site on different port

I am trying to run a website using iis. on the machine where iis is installed i can to to ie and type in http://localhost:8080 and it will show the html file that i made. On another machine on the same network i try to do the same but nothing happens. I have the port forwarding setup on my router.

i dont know too much about iis or ports so i was wondering if anyone can help me out.

how about the local firewall on the IIS computer? did you allow access on port 8080?

disable the firewall on that computer temporarily and see if you can connect
