Illuminated keyboard without key rub off?

I have been searching the forums and found many threads answering the question of, "What is a good illuminated keyboard?". Those have been useful, but none of them seem to mention anything about the paint on the keys getting rubbed off with use. This is my biggest concern and I have noticed, from newegg reviews, that in all of the recommended keyboards this is a likely problem.

The keyboards that I have seen getting good recommendations are the Logitech G15, G19, and any of the Saitek models. All of these have reports of keys getting rubbed off.

So what I am looking for is a good quality illuminating keyboard where the keys won't get rubbed off. I mostly play WoW, so a gaming style might be fine, but it is not something I need. Also I don't really care what the color is. I would like to get one with at least one USB port on it, but this is also not mandatory. If possible keep it around $100.

Thanks for any help

I recently bought the Steelseries Merc Stealth for WoW because it has a gamepad and a cool software. It took me like a week to get used and now I really enjoy it and it's cheaper than the ones you mentioned above.

But like I said, I just bought it recently and I have no idea if the keys will get rubbed off in time. And one more thing, if you have big hands, don't buy it.

I am curious as to where you purchased this. I have checked on their website and on newegg and neither of them have it for cheaper than the G15, which seems to be my top choice right now. I am still searching though to see if there is a better option for me, if anyone else out there has an opinion I would like to hear it.

In my country the Merc stealth is ~45 euros and the G15 ~100 euros. And even if they were the same price I still wouldn't have bought the G15, I'd rather have the gamepad instead of the display. And I don't know for sure if G15 still has only 1.1 USB ports.

But it is a matter of taste, everybody likes something else.

All of the reviews of the Razer keyboards state that the keys are wearing off and that is what I am trying to avoid.

The Steelseries Merc Stealth does seem really good, but the way they integrated the number pad and the directional arrows really put me off. Also they combined the delete key with the zero so that you need to turn off num lock in order to use delete, and that is something that would really bother me.
