I'm a newbie need to learn.

Hey guys i have a Pentium 4 1.6a ghz with a MSI 845E Max motherboard. First I would like to know how to overlock this baby and by how much. Some people overlocked theres to 2.1 which i would like to get. I have the stock cooler and heatsink. My PSU is 300watts.
So some help plz.
Is there some program or something?? I need to learn!!!

The "program" is called your bios and can be entered on boot (just after the POST beep) usually by pressing delete, F1 or F2, however do need to search. The ocing thing would take a few or more pages to fully explain, best to educate yourself. Search this forum and also Google is an excellent tool for finding specific info on you sys. Best advice is go slow and gentle till ya find the limit then back off a little. I did some work for ya.

btw there is an app provided by MSI to oc your board but it doesn't have all the features that your bios does and so would probably not provide as good an oc as your bios.
