i admit, im older than most of you...im 30, and i remember being a junior in
1991 in H.S playing this game at the arcades!!!!

i grew up in queens, ny, right near flushing, which was heavily oriental.
Now, im sure there are other nationalities that were big gamers, but man,
there would be probably a dozen or so of them huddled around the game, and
they were awesome...

i even remember when kens super uppercut was a fluke, becasue nobody really
knew how to do it....until i went to the city pool hall and finally
learned... i went back to my neighborhood and started kicking all types of
ass with my new secret move.... ah..those were the days......

I cant wait to play online!

Even better yet, can't wait to get that new MK Xbox controller that has the
true 6 button layout...man, that thing is bad ass. Finally, a *real* controller
for fighting games on the Xbox!

Actually you are younger than most of us. I graduated in 91 and I am right
around the median age for this ng.

I thought people who were in their early teens when MTV debuted in '82
are considered of the "MTV generation"?

I think there are like two seperate MTV generations, one that was there
at the onset of channel and saw it while it was still something decent
or had some sort of value to it. The other are the ones that came into
it when it went from what it was meant to be originally (a MUSIC channel
with music and videos) to what it is today a channel that RARELY ever
plays any actual music/videos and is nothing mainly but a reality Tv
network. MTV at one time YEARS ago was actually somewhere you could see
some good artists not yet in the mainstream, find some new music, etc..
Now it is a complete joke...actually has been for quite sometime now.

I always thought it was people who were born when MTV debuted and became
popular. I thought we were generation Y and they were the MTV generation.

I've never really been into MTV. I used to watch Headbanger's Ball with my
brothers, but other than that, I was outside playing. I wasn't allowed to be
inside on pretty summer days. I wish more people were like my parents.
Nothing is worse than a twelve year old with an attitude on Live.
