I'm assuming my PSU is broken - advice and recommendations?

So I've recently built a new computer, and it all runs fine, except for when I try gaming. After a little while, usually 20-30 minutes, the computer shuts down, usually attempts to reboot once, then reboots a second time and starts up completely. I was having issues with ASUS anti-surge so I disabled that, as per the recommendations of a few people, but the issue persisted. Before I go through the whole process of attempting to return and replace my PSU, what other steps can I take to attempt to fix this/ test my PSU? And if I do need to replace it, as I most likely will, what should I go with?
The build:
Intel i5-4430
ASUS H81M-D Plus
Vulcan DDR3-1600 8GB (2x4GB)
Kingston 120GB SSD
Seagate Barracuda 1TB HDD
XFX Radeon R9 280 3GB Double Dissipation
EVGA 500W 80+ Bronze Certified PSU

Depending on where you bought it, there is a good chance they will just give you another one of said PSUs. If you would be going for a new one, you could get the Corsair Builder 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX? As for testing it the only way I see it is if you plug it into another system or vice-versa (another psu for your system to check that the rest of the components are actually ok.) On a side note, I had a similar problem a few times with my cheap psu, make sure the mobo power connector is fully connected by disconnecting and connecting it back?

I have no access to another system or PSU to plug into. Does anyone know if it's worth getting another of the same PSU in terms of reliability?
