Question I'm at a complete loss on motherboard wiring. 🤷‍♂️

Exactly what the title says. None of the names of the wires in my case seem to match my motherboard manual. All the case fans are 3-prong, and all my headers are 4-prong. The USB 3.0 wire doesn't plug into either the USB 3.2 slot or the USB 2.0 headers. There's a bunch of little pig tail power and RGB wires that don't seem to fit into anywhere.
Building my own PC is a nightmare. I just should've payed someone to do this. It makes absolutely zero sense.
I've got a ROG STRIX 8550-F (Wi-Fi) motherboard with a x71 Thermaltake case.
I'm just going to walk away for 30 minutes, because all I have at this point is a $2k paper weight.

What do I even do for help? I have no freaking idea.

For help start by posting full system hardware specs and OS information.

All components.

Especially PSU: make, model, wattage, age, condition?

Disk drive(s): make, model, capacity, how full?

This motherboard User Manual?

https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/...ING/E16609_ROG_STRIX_B550-F_GAMING_UM_WEB.pdf

This case?

https://thermaltake.azureedge.net/p...rmanual/_8b9d616838bc4e4f82dd719d0e41942c.pdf

Case fans: any make and model information or pinouts?

= = = =

Verify that I found the correct User Guide(s)/Manual(s).

Are you using or reusing cables from other systems and/or PSUs?

What "USB wires"? Source?>

"There's a bunch of little pig tail power and RGB wires that don't seem to fit into anywhere. " Where did those wires come from?

For the most part the process requires the builder to read all documentation and map out the connections - pin by pin sometimes.

Here's the motherboard manual:
https://gzhls.at/blob/ldb/3/8/4/d/33ff58671084af7b4688e902eaa3aeafea5b.pdf

3 extra fans that are on the parts list.

No used cables, drives, anything. Just what came on the parts list, and was in the case already.

That's the correct case manual, yes.
