I'm building my first PC and need your advise

I'm planing to buid a new PC that could last for at least 5 years, i don't care if I won't be able to play always on ultra settings after those years.
So this is what I'm planning to get :

CPU : Intel Core I7 4770k
GPU : MSI GTX 970
Memory : 2x4 GB HyperX FURY 1600 Ghz
MOBO : MSI Z97 GD65
Case : NZXT phantom 410
PSU : EVGA B2

Yes it's a great build. Since you want to "future proof" I would keep that CPU for what you need it for. Since a I5 2500K PC can still game on today's games(I'm actually typing this on a I5 2500 System and it runs great! This is a school computer I actually game on it as well lol!) That will last a while to, as well, that CPU is total overkill for today's needs, but will last you a long time
