I'm doing a custom build and I need some advice.

My build is $1500 roughly and if I take out my ssd I would have another free $100 to invest in upgrading other components. i want to know if it's worth it. I would only be putting my OS and games on the ssd

For $1500 no, you have such a large budget that using the extra 100 for even a gpu won't gain a big performance boost.
