For holidays, I'm flying around 1000km to visit family for an extended period of time. Due to online studies, and part of my work, having my Desktop with me is an essential. Therefore, I need to find the best (and most safe) way to transport my PC so that I can have it with me whilst I'm away. I just don't know what is the best option. Should I package it carefully and add it to my checked baggage on my flight? Or should I package it and send it via the post. Though, I've heard this can be expensive..

Really would appreciate some advice from people who've experienced similar scenarios! :)

Hi,

Although I havent experienced this scenario. You should pack your desktop carefully in a cardboard box that comes with cabinet, with that 4 big thermocol pieces around. And mark it as fragile at the airport and let it go into check-in baggage.

Or

You can pick out your computer parts 1 by 1 and pack it in separate boxes.De-assemble.And re-assemble your pc when you reach there.

Can I know your pc - configuration or specifications or model no so that I can try to assist you?

Thank you,
Ishaan
