Im getting a new motherboard and i have a preinstall hard drive with windows 8 OEM

Can i just plug in the hard drive to the new motherboard or will it cause problems? cause i really want to know this...

nope you can't. if i remember correctly there used to be a way back in xp...but now you have to re-install, you also need to reinstall new drivers.. if you change motherboard.

well there used to be a trick... let windows installation detect your old WINDOWS folder then install there...but i don't think it works anymore
