I don't believe it would make a huge difference on most games. SOme games I can think it will make an actual big difference on are Planetside 2 and Minecraft, So really depends on how much money you want to spend. i currently have a 3770 which is a locked 3770k which you can't overclock.

AH, if you can't get the Mobo ram deal, corsair vengeance and g. skill ram can also be bought seperately.
