Hey all!So I have always used just 1 monitor but recently upgraded and am now using a 2nd one. It worked perfect for the first day, but on day 2 my PC would no longer turn on. It would power up for 1 second then power down, and repeat. I DID manage to get it to the lock screen by unplugging it for 5 hours but I couldn't even make it to the desktop before the issue persisted.

I know this is issue involved my 2nd monit because once I unplugged it, boom back to normal.... It's super weird. I checked the PSU wattage here https://outervision.com/power-supply-calculator and it reaches 499w, which cuts it close considering I have a 500w PSU.
If you have any advice or have faced a similar situation some advice would be super awesome! :)

TLDR: 2nd Monitor messed up my pc and caused it not to boot. Unplugging it seemed to fix it but now I can't use my 2nd monitor.

Specs:
GTX 780
AMD Ryzen 7 2700X
16GB DDR4 ram (Duel channel)
Gigabyte F2A78M-HD2 MOBO
EVGA 500W PSU
250gb SSD and 1tb HDD

This handy chart indicates you should have a 575w psu:

If your gtx780 needs more than an 8 pin and a 6 pin connector, that may be your problem.
Normally, the power used by a monitor comes from the wall.
But, a second monitor can increase the load on the gpu a bit.

Does the new monitor work ok by itself?

I might add that 18gb of ram indicates that you have mismatched ram which can cause problems, particularly with ryzen.

AH apologies that was a typo, I have 16gb ram, 2 x 8gb sticks!
But yeah man both monitors work by themselves and the gpu is using an 8 pin and a 6 pin. This is super useful! Seems I'll be needing an upgrade then. Atleast I got to live the dream for 1 day.
