i'm mainly concerned whether my current pc can handle a 1070ti.

Here are my PC specs:

CPU i7 7700k
MOBO Asus Z270-A
16 GB ram
Win 10 64 bit
GPU EVGA 1050ti 4GB
Thermaltake 750w (80 plus bronze)

Also, please feel free to give me any input regarding this upgrade. If you have a suggested brand please let me know since there are different manufacturers and i'm not sure if there are any differences. Thanks in advance!

Right now you can get a 1080 for not much more, but 1070 ti is good too. Might not run 4k at an acceptable fps rate for you but it'll rip thorough 1440p. your CPU can totally handle it were you thinking a new monitor as well? don't get an overpowered GPU if you aren't going to utilize it. A new monitor with a GPU will completely change your experience.

if anything, your 1050Ti is bottle-necking your pc right now. an upgrade to even a 1070 is fine, but if you can afford it go for a 1070Ti.

i have a 7700k and 1070 FTW's in SLI and i love it.

I recommend Evga but i'm biased towards them. 3 fans usually means better thermals but its debatable. 3 fan cards also cost a bit more. Just read reviews on sites like newegg and compare the specs of different cards.
