Hi these are the specs of my pc

intel i5 3570K
Corsair Vengeance 8gb 1600MHz
WD Caviar Black 500gb
Asus P8Z77-V
Asus GTX 760 SLI
Coolermaster Hyper 212
Samsung 840 SSD 120gb
Rm series 850w

And I was just wondering if it would be ok to run it of a 5m extention lead? with 6 outlets. I would also use it for a monitor and some speakers

It highly depends on your surge protectors. If you are not connecting too many devices in the same slot, you will probably be fine. I have my computer (and 10 other things) running off just one outlet.

Ok I would probably be using 3 plugs in it and I would get a surge protection cable for about 10 pounds. Also bare in mind the psu is 850w

You won't need a surge protector there, unless your house uses old fashion kind of surge protectors (Not the switches), because they cost some money to repair if they blow up.
You can still buy an external surge protector if you like, for extra safety.

Ok Im thinking about this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Masterplug-Indoor-BFG5B-MS-4-Gang-Extension/dp/B004I5BQ0G/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1388918709&sr=8-1&keywords=black+extension+lead+5m
