I'm looking for a car game with a lot of customization options

Hey guys,

I'm looking for a car game with customization options available. Not like grid. Preferably open world. I want something like Forza Horizon 2 on the XBOX, but just a PC Alternative. I don't mind paying for it, as long as I know it will be worth it.

I was looking at Project Cars, Assetto Corsa and The Crew, but I'm not entirely sure if any of these games can provide me with what I'm looking for.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm looking for something more realistic than NFS or GTA. Real Cars, Real-ish performance and good graphics

Forza 5, far more realistic handling than Forza Horizon 2 which is very arcade physics.

Sorry I miss read your OP, thought you were looking on both PC and One. The best I have found across both platforms is Forza 5.

Also I got bought the Crew as a gift and it sucks big style, again completely arcade physics and dull game play

Tho it will probably end up being delayed longer than GTA V.

Forza 5 is not on PC but I am yet to find a PC driving game to match it

No it was released as an exclusive launch title to the xbone.

The closest you'll get to what you're looking for is probably "The Crew", though I'm not quite sure it would satisfy your needs completely..

Go watch a review of the game to see if you'd like it, it's basically driving around a city, customizing and unlocking new cars by winning street races. Open-World, though how big the world is I cannot say.

Putting an i in front of something doesn't mean you can get away with Apple pricing.

I could never pay a subscription for a game. I play far too sporadically.

NFS Carbon has great customization if you're into underground-type racing. If you're running Windows 8, though, the game will need to be installed by copying the files from the retail DVD to the hard drive and running the game from that in Windows XP compatibility mode. The game has some stability and optimization issues and does not support 16:9 full-screen resolutions, but is still a fun game.

Well I just watched a lot of Videos on Youtube, and I found that there isn't something that will satisfy my needs. Though I have found a couple that I really liked.

Project Cars - Realistic but no free roaming or customization
The Crew - Great customization and free roaming but arcade handling.
NFS Shift 2 - Great Customization, semi realistic handling, no open world.

Maybe PC gaming wasn't intended for what I'm looking to do/play. I think I'm gonna give The Crew a chance.
