1. What is your budget?
200-400 if possible(as low as possible.)
2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
Near 14inch if possible. Something the size of a college rule 11/9inch paper.
3. What screen resolution do you want?
Unknown.
4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?
Not sure. I'm assuming laptops are better in this case, but not sure.
I am looking to use this in another room. Possibly to work with a TV and or roku for doing math off youtube or other websites. The roku doesn't have access to internet so, it's very limited. Basically this is a study setup for laying in bed with a large TV. I think it's 50-60 inch old 1080p non smart tv.
5. How much battery life do you need?
Unsure. Probably the more the better.
6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?
Yea, if possible from steam. I was thinking steam link on android, although it appears it would be a hassle compared to a small laptop if it can run steam natively. Probably like holocure or other small free games. I could actually run more on the laptop than the computer as it is linux and a ddr 3 system.
I forgot this. I also might try to play diablo 4 on any settings. I played the first season on linux, but and update made it crash. I'm not sure how to tell if that would be playable though. I kind of don't like the game, but if possibly I might try to play it.
I will possibly try to play any game on it if possible. I'm used to linux restriction and there are things I could try. Don't know how much I will care in the end though.
7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)
all about notes and learning math and other similar subjects via youtube or websites. I'm assuming I will need a stylus pen. Preferably with replaceable tips, and that does not force you to replace the battery or has a magnetic charger when stuck to the device or similar. If that sort of thing exists on stylus pens.
I also want to access sites for stuff like bank accounts and other personal tasks so I can do those from my bedroom. A little worried about windows security, but I wouldn't mind the game access it would provide.
I would prefer to hook it up to a TV somehow. And maybe get landline internet access. The room has it, I just need to transfer a Router to the bedroom to use to hook everything up. I think I'm going to go with landlines if it's possibly. Unless wireless is not a problem for these applications. I assume I can get a dongle for this if needed.
8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?
As much as possible or around 512gb. I have a backup drive on my pc I could use that is 2tb, but half of that is for backing up the 1tb my system uses and some of the rest is for actual native file storage. 512 is the max I could back up. But, I could forgo backups and just get as much as possible.
9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.
Uncertain. Open to any idea.
Edit: I'm assuming this is a much better option for 100Dollars more. Or is there a better one in this price range? This is lacking a pen. And I can't figure out what type of screens they have. Still want a magnetically charged pen if possible.

Will this, "sale," at walmart last long? Is this normally only 330 dollars Or should I buy one before it goes up to 600 dollars.

I did see these, but the stylus pens used a battery that I would have to replace. That might be an issue. And I'm not sure if any of the offbrands are too sketchy. Although this appears to be very near what I'm looking for. But I don't know enough about handhelp/laptops to really know.
auus 14.1 inch?
I also saw this, but I can't tell if the touch screen supports a stylus pen or not.
I was also looking into a Galaxy Tab A9+ for 200-320, but I'm wondering if laptops are better because of the fuller OS issue.
I'm completely open to suggestions though. These are just ones I noticed.
10. How long do you want to keep your laptop?
no idea. But possibly up to 10 year if that is possible. It's meant to be used for learning in a bedroom with a TV. So, hopefully it doesn't need to be upgraded in the long term.
11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?
Uncertain. I assume I don't need any.
12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.
None as far as I know.
I might try to get an amd one if they are better.
13. What country do you live in?
US
14. Please tell us any additional information if needed.
I need a keyboard and a stylus pen preferably. So, hopefully it comes with a keyboard and stylus pen. I was also looking at dual monitor ones, but I assume those are too expensive. Preferably if it comes with one. Which I assume is better to get a laptop.
I need to be able to run mozilla firefox. And I would prefer to run steam games. So, I assume windows. Unless a pure linux ones exists also. A windows device would give me the ability to run more games though.
I'm assuming from videos I've watched that the stylus pen should also have replaceable tips? I'm not sure If that is a big issue or not though. I would reather not have to replace the pen though as I may use this for a long time.
Are there issues with security and windows laptops. I do not want to worry about viruses and I have used linux so long now I don't remember what it is like to have to install an antivirus... Can windows run without one now. I like the native ability for linux to need to to pay for or install one. Does windows still have good free antivirus software?
I've never owned anything but a desktop. And I stopped using windows with windows XP and have used linux since. Currently Fedora 40. I'm a little unfamiliar with the windows environment now. I think my current file systems are all non NTSF, so I'm not sure if it can backup files conveniently. Assuming i need to do that.
Current desktop is: (different room/location.)
Phenom 1100T
32gb DDR3 1600mhz ram
1060 3gb GPU
256gb ssd(boot drive)
750gb raid 10
2tb backup drive.
650W PSU.
1080p monitors x2 27 inch and 23 inch side monitor.
Bedroom:
1080p(i think p) 50-60inch monitor. Pre smart TV.
Does software on a 2in1 type laptop allow the full use of a stylus? I have no idea what exists in those ecosystems. I know I had a cheap android based device a long time ago and it was very primitive software wise. That is why I'm assuming a windows or linux based laptop is better.
And do I need fingerprint scanner vs eye, or any of those features. I'm not familiar with any of this.
200-400 if possible(as low as possible.)
