this will do fine :
ASUS TUF GAMING Z790-PLUS WIFI

although it is way too expensive for my taste :
when i used currency calculator it´s like 350 euro -
which is too much - try to find a cheaper retailer if you can
(but that is the cheapes i would use for this build from that website)
Just a quick follow up, i think i read or heard from someone that TUF motherboards had some issues, any truth to this?

well it depends on the chipset and specific models :
old B450 tuf motherboards for example were not good ,
most of the prime motherboards from asus (except for prime A) are not soo good either
(regardless of chipset) .

but B650/B550/Z790/X670E etc . TUF motherboards are very solid
with good features and good VRM design .
some AM5 motherboards had problems with DDR5 memory
(setting the clock speeds , get it to work properly , load times etc.
but those issues were not exclusive for asus motherboards and were more of a
general optimalization problem for the new AM5 platform in general)

To allow overclocking, most any Z690 or Z790 motherboard will do.
I would look more to Z790 which will usually be a more refined version of the previous Z690.

But, overclocking is no longer a way to get something for nothing.
Chips are binned, and if your 13600K chip were capable of more, it would be a 13900 and sold for more.
Past that, gamers find that allowing the turbo mechanism to boost a couple of cores is more effective for gaming.

What is the make/model of your case?
You will want good front intake to cool your graphics card and motherboard vrm heat sinks. Just my opinion, a top twin tower air cooler Like the Noctua NH-D15swill cool just as well, cost less, and be more reliable.

For value, compare your costs using DDR4 instead of DDR5.
Performance is similar and DDR4 will be cheaper.
