I've been saving up my money for awhile now and im looking to get the top of the line Gaming pc for gaming (obviously) and editing as i've my own YouTube channel. My current PC is very good. Gtx 1070 i7 8700k and and 16 gb of ram.

I was thinking of selling that one so I will have even more money to spend. I already have 2k so anything over 2k is my budget.

Id like to have an intel build too :)

Thanks for the help in advance :)

Ireland first. Enough RGB to make a unicorn blush. Left off the case since that's a bit subjective.

Not sure how I feel about a RTX2080 Super when we're only 3 months away from RTX3000.

What monitor are you using that determines the video card you need!

A lot of us are waiting to see just how much better the RTX 3000 series cards are going to be. If price isn't much of an object then waiting isn't too much of a problem. But if price to performance is important then it is important to see where Intel and AMD sit respectively. You can get a pretty good idea of the performance in gaming by checking out gpucheck.com. There is a comparison feature. Gaming-PC-Processors-Comparison-and-Frames-Per-Second-Performance-Calculator . Your best bet for video production work is going to be with a Ryzen 9 processor such as the Ryzen 9 3950X. The 3950X's 16 cores and 32 threads versus the 10900k's 10 cores and 20 threads is pretty significant - and it isn't even close when it comes to production times. By going with a Ryzen processor you may lose a frame or two in gaming, but the impact will be negligible.

Yes and no. If a person has a 4k monitor with a max refresh of 60hz - and only wants to play games in 4K (not recommended by many do) then he/she can still play games in 4k at 60 fps. Personally, I think 4K gaming is kind of silly - so I purchased a 2K monitor that has max refresh rate of 165hz (144hz overclocked to 165hz). Even running a game like Red Dead Redemption in 2K at ultra settings will come in under 60fps. I hold on to monitors for 10-15 years - and this one with G-Sync pretty much means I need to stick with Nvidia cards. Now if the OP is a Formula 1 fan and wants to play F1 2019 then he will have many more potential frames available to him and a high refresh monitor would be the absolute best choice.

I just don't want to go near AMD. Makes me sick even thinking about it 🤢
