I've been searching for months on end for a desktop PC that will handle pretty much any 3D solid modeling program (SolidWorks, Mastercam, AutoCAD, etc.) along with some gaming. I've heard that in order to run 3D modeling programs well, you need a "Quadro"-type graphics card, and I looked one up once, and it was well over $1000... so what I'm asking is, what desktop PC will handle 3D solid modeling programs without issue and also take on some gaming, all for maybe under $1300 or even $1000? I've just started at a tech college, and am going for Mechanical Design Technology, so I'd like a computer that really helps me out with that stuff.
Thanks!
