im looking to start streaming with this pc so wouldnt the 8600 be better in that aspect and why would i need 240+ssd is 120 not enough?

The difference between the 8400 & 8600 is a few hundred mhz and is more then likely not worth the cost difference performance wise. As for the SSD even if you only keep the OS on it after updates and such it will fill up quite fast and if it does then the speed will drastically slow down.

Thank you very much, i appreciate the comments, and would u say the pc is good enough for streaming esport games such as fortnite csgo etc and mainteane a consistent fps of around 100 with medium graphics?

It's only a 1TB drive however the OP could go with Intel Optane which may be a cheaper option over the 240gb SSD and would speed up the HDD quite a bit.
