I'm looking to setup a 6 monitor office workstation.

If it is a workstation I would suggest you to go with Quadro K5000 which gives you very good display output, each GPU gives you 4 outputs you can SLI another GPU so you can pull 3 outputs from each. Motherboard this is good ---> Z87-WS in Asus

I'm sorry Rams, when I said workstation I didn't mean for heavy video editing. I just meant I wouldn't be gaming on it. The real goal is screen realestate.

I would suggest you to purchase Asrock 990 Extreme4 and 2 HD 7850 GPU. The GPU comes around $170 motherboard $210. You can get PSU Corsair RM750 for this setup. Apart from this you need to get RAM and a good case It will not cross more than $1000 for sure and you will have good output from those 2 7850s
