I'm looking to upgrade my current i5 7400 (stock cooler) to an i7 7700k with a cryorig h7. I'm currently using the MSI B250M PRO-VD motherboard and would like to know if i'd need to purchase a new motherboard to use this cooler as i've looked everywhere and i've seen no posts on any forums or on any websites for my current problem. :bounce:

Solution
That cooler fits socket 1151 motherboards, which your motherboard is, so no problem there.

The bigger question is, will it fit in your case? Look up your case's website, and it SHOULD tell you in there the maximum CPU cooler height allowable. The h7 is 145mm tall. That's not tall at all, so likely not a problem, but good to confirm

You can confirm if it'll fit your motherboard (ram clearance etc) with this printout
